In addition to support from a caring and truly dedicated school counselor, Cabot School's students are better prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education in part through our participation in VSAC's
Gear Up program. Gear Up is a federal program managed by the
Vermont Student Assistance Corporation that provides benefits to our students including:
- Intensive support, including mentoring, tutoring, and career/college counseling.
- VSAC GEAR UP college scholarships
- Career and college exploration through information sessions, field trips, 1-on-1 counseling, summer programs, and cultural activities.
- Financial literacy programs and assistance with understanding financial aid, eligibility, and assistance with forms
